Assure Watch -Our App

To Edit a contact, including the Administrator number, go to the main menu in the App.

Tap on Family List

Press the screen on the contact number you wish to change until the edit page is displayed.

Tap on the number and correct it.  (Remember to use the international dialling code when adding contact numbers).

Or if you wish to Delete a contact number, choose the delete option.

Tap on OK and exit out of the Family List screen.

 

 

To change the watch mobile number in the App;

 

Go to the Main App screen

Click on the face on the top of the screen of the watch you wish to change to enter the User Info page

Press on the Watch Mobile no.

Add the international code of the mobile number of the watch sim card in the first box such as +34

Add the rest of the number into the second box

Yes, you can use the change the circle to a square by tapping the circle to the left of the slider bar.

To change the length of the sides of the square, tap the circle with 3 dots, tap the vertical or horizontal symbol and use the slider to change the distance.

The Administrator and the backup administrators will receive the alert message when the boundaries are breached. As with all alert messages, the message settings on your phone must be set to allow messages.

The Backup Administrator can add contact numbers but cannot delete any contact numbers. Only the Administrator can delete contact numbers.

We have 2 App, one for our Liberty watch and one for our Assure watch. You must download the App for your watch as the watch will only pair with the correct App. For the Liberty watch on your smartphone search and download the “WatchOvers Liberty” app and for our Assure watch search and download the “WatchOvers Assure” App. Or Click on this link to our Apps http://www.watchovers.com/apps/ and select the correct App.

 

The Assure App requires iOS version 7.0 or later.

With watch silent times you can set repeat silent time on our Assure watch, such as school hours, Monday to Friday, and the watch will not ring aloud during these times.

The administrator(the first person to add the watch to their App account) can control permission to add the watch.

This setting allows the administrator to permit or block anyone else from adding the watch to their account. For security we would advise keeping this in the off position and only turn it on while permitting someone to add the watch. Turn it off once they have successfully added the watch to their account.

This can be set in Family List, click on the Settings wheel icon and slide the button at Allow to add.

 

Safety & General Warnings

  • The watch is NOT waterproof. It is splash proof for everyday use, only when the charging & sim card port doors are firmly closed. It is not suitable for showering, bathing, swimming or other similar water conditions. Care should be taken while washing your hands. For young children we advise removing the watch while washing hands or other similar water situations.
  • The GPS will not work when the watch is powered off or the SIM card/GSM network does not have coverage/is out of service.
  • Do not attempt to repair the watch yourself, as any modification to the product will affect the use of the product and affect the warranty. Opening the watch will make your warranty null and void, if not carried out by a qualified professional. We recommend that you do not open the back of the watch.
  • Please keep the watch away from fire and high temperature.
  • Use only the original accessories recommended by the manufacturer. Using other accessories may be dangerous and invalidate all warranties and licences.
  • Avoid cleaning with corrosive cleaning agents and chemicals, use a soft, dry cloth to clean the watch.
  • It is prohibited to use the watch at the petrol stations, restricted chemical plants or near oil depots as such use of the watch in the above environments may raise the risk of explosion.
  • For Air travel please follow the airline mobile phone guidelines and power off the watch when requested. The manufacturer does not accept responsibility for any damage which may be caused by Airport X-ray equipment.
  • Batteries should be disposed of responsibly. It is dangerous to try to open the battery or throw the battery into a fire. Never place the battery in the hands of children.

 

App Version

There is continuous upgrading and updating to enhance this product, thus the content may be different to your product, which is subject to change without prior notice. You can add up to 16 contact numbers including the administrator in the contact list.

  • Press the Family List icon to enter the setting page.
  • Click “+”on the top right of the page to add a contact name and number.

Note: Remember to use the international dialling code when adding contact numbers.

To pair your Watch with the APP

  • Sign in to the App and Click on Watch + icon.
  • Scan the QR code in this manual and also on the inside lid of the box

OR manually enter the 15 digit WID number printed on the QR code and click OK.

  • Enter a Watch Users Name and the Watch Mobile Number printed on the side of the box.

Note: The first account connected with the watch will become the watch administrator.  

You can record and send voice messages to and from the watch, that can be played on the watch or on the App.

Voice messages from the Watch

The voice message button is the button on the top left side of the watch.    

Record and send a Voice Messages

Short press the Voice Message Button twice to enter your contact list and short press once to choose the phone number you wish to send the message to. Press and continue to hold the voice message button to record your voice message and release the button to stop recording and send the message.  If you chose “All contacts” the message will be sent to all your contacts with the App.

 Listen to voice messages

When the watch has a message you will see the Message symbol on the watch display. To listen to a message on a watch, short press the Voice Message Button once to download the message and listen. If you want stop to listening during the message, just short press once the Voice Message Button to stop the message.

Voice Messages from the App

At the bottom of the screen, press the green circular Voice message icon in the middle to check messages sent from the watch. The icon will show display a red dot if you have any messages.

To record and send a message click on the voice message icon, click on the “Hold to talk” button at the bottom of the page and record your message while holding the button. Once you release the button, the voice message is sent to the watch. To delete voice messages already sent, press and hold the screen on the message and click Delete.

You can click the Bin icon to delete all messages.

You can remotely turn off the watch in the App and set the watch to power on again at a set time and date. In Watch Settings, click on Remote Watch Turn Off.

No, the app is not designed to work on an iPad or other tablet. It is developed to work on Android and iOS smart phones only and therefore must be run on your mobile phone to work.

To delete a watch from your account;

Click on Family List

Click on the settings wheel symbol

Select Delete the watch

If there are more than 1 person with the watch added to their account, you will transfer the administrator rights to them

No, our App is not designed for Windows phones and does not work on BlackBerry devices. There may be some Android mobile phones that conflict with Android Apps including our App.

To transfer the administration rights to another person, click on Family List and click on the Settings Wheel Icon. Click Delete the watch option.

If the person already has the watch added to their account you will see their details on screen and you can select them to transfer the rights. If you are the only person with the watch added, you can delete the watch and they can follow the procedure to add the watch to their account and become the Administrator.

 

 

 

 

 

 

With Multi-User, our App will allow you monitor all your loved ones from your smart phone.   You can add as many Assure watches to your App as you wish.

Very handy on days out such as a going to the park, a trip to the Zoo or on holidays when they all head off in different directions.

 

It is very easy to manage the contacts in your watch through the WatchOvers App, giving the parent/carer control on who can call the watch and who the watch can call, keeping your loved ones safe from unsolicited callers.  These numbers can be updated and changed as often as you like.

The Watch allows up to 16 contact numbers including the administrator, preset in the contact list. To add a contact number;

  • Press the icon Family List icon to enter the setting page.
  • Click the “+” symbol on the top right of the screen page to add a contact number.

Remember to use the international dialing code when adding contact numbers.

To Edit or Delete the current contact, press the screen on the contact number until the edit page is displayed.

The Watch will send Alert messages automatically to Administrators of the watch, through the WatchOvers App on their mobile phone such as when the battery is low, if an SOS call has been made or if the wearer breeches a Geo-Zone.

Notifications / Message Centre

To view your notifications, Press the Message centre icon on the main screen to open the message page and view all messages from the watch and the system. All your notifications can be viewed here. To delete your messages, press the Bin icon on the top right of the screen and click OK

 

 

A Geo-Zone is an area with a virtual boundary or fence set by you. For example you can set up a Geo-zone around your house, school or park and receive an alert if the watch leaves the zone. Zones can also be set that you get an alert if the watch enters the zone, exits a zone and Enters or exits a zone.

  • To set a Geo-Zone, press the Geo-Zone icon.
  • Press the Plus symbol to add a new Geo-Zone.
  • Tap on the screen to move the location of the zone you wish to set. If the location is off the screen, move the screen to the location you wish to set the zone and tap on the screen once to move the zone area to your map location.
  • Set the diameter using the slider.
  • Tap on Settings to set your Geo-Zone name and tap the Alert Policy to receive an alert if the watch exits a zone, enters a zone or both enters or exits a zone.
  • Tap complete to save your new Geo-Zone

When your loved ones are out and about, locate them through the WatchOvers Assure App on your smart phone instantly, letting you see where they are no matter how far away.  Feel more confident giving your kids a little more freedom while enjoying extra peace of mind or alleviate some of your concerns for your elderly relative.

Once you open the location map in our App, the current location will be updated within about 60 seconds. There is no need to press the Locate button to get the current location, unless you have set tracking mode to manual. Press on the antenna icon to the left of the location bubble on the map screen to see what the watch is working off, either GPS or LBS, to give you its current location.

When outdoors, the Assure uses GPS (Global Positioning Satellite) to send its position via overhead satellites to pinpoint the watch’s location, with accuracy of 3 meters to 30 meters approximately.

When indoors, accuracy is reduced from 10 meters to 100 meters or more and can show as the house next door, or further away depending on the proximity to the nearest mobile mast.

When the App reports LBS (Local Base Station) generally the watch is indoors and this indicates cellular positioning which is usually accurate from 100 meters to 1000+ meters depending on the distance away from the nearest mobile phone base station (LBS) that the watch is registered to.

In general, GPS devices are designed for outdoor use, therefore they are not as accurate when used indoors. Please note that when locating a watch that is indoors, the location can show as close as the house next door, or a lot further away depending on the LBS unit it is connected to.  It is important to check to see if the watch is using GPS or LBS for location as LBS is not as reliable.

But remember if you have a concern all you have to do is call them, the watch is a phone!  

 

 

The watch is indoors if this is happening. The watch is primarily a GPS device for when the wearer is outdoors. For outdoor location working on GPS (Global Positioning Satellite), this means it gets its position when the watch is outdoors and can access a satellite. When you are looking at the location map on our App you will see a location bubble, on the left hand side of this bubble, by pressing the antenna icon, it indicates what the watch is working off, either GPS or LBS, to give you its current location.

When the watch is indoors and GPS is displayed on the App, up you can sometimes get shadowing which can make the GPS location display anywhere from 10 meters to 100+ meters from its actual location.

LBS (Local Base Station) can be displayed when the watch is indoors and this indicates cellular positioning which is usually accurate from 100 meters to 1000+ meters depending on the distance away from your nearest mobile phone base station that the watch is registered to.

To Download the WatchOvers APP

Scan the QR code on the side of the box,

OR search for “WatchOvers Assure” in Google play or the App Store to download our App and click install.

After install is complete please click “OK” to allow notifications in order to receive alerts & notifications.

Note:  We have more than 1 App, please download the WatchOvers Assure App. Screens may vary for Android and iOS.

 

 

Yes, it is best practice to always use the International format such as +44 in the UK or +353 in Ireland when adding in phone numbers. This will allow the watch recognise the number when calling from another country.

You can set multiple repeat alarms such as to take medicine at set times each day. What you type in the Alarm label, up to a maximum of 20 characters, will appear on the watch screen when the alarm rings. On the watch, click any button to stop the alarm ringing.

To set an Alarm, go to Watch Settings and Click on Watch Alarm.

For times when you and/or the watch are in another country, in order for the watch to recognise the preset numbers as approved numbers when calling the watch, you add the International prefix when setting your contact numbers such as +44 or +353 and your phone number.

You can change the map view to satellite map, 2D map, or 3D map by pressing the circular icon near the top right hand side of the map screen.

The watch updates it’s position automatically every 60 seconds so simply open the map screen to see the current location.

If you have the watch set in Manual mode, the watch will send it’s position only when you press the Locate button on the map screen. Press the Locate icon on the bottom left of the map screen to check the current position of the watch.

The battery charge lasts longer in manual mode but Geo-Zones feature and track mode will not work.

To change the Tracking mode, in Watch Settings, Tap on Tracking mode and press on the circle of the setting you require. The circle will turn blue to confirm the setting you have selected is now set.

You can change the map view to satellite map, 2D map, or 3D map by pressing the circular icon near the top right hand side of the screen.

You will receive alert notifications when the SOS button is pressed or when the watch breaches a Geo-Zone you have created or if the battery charge is low.

To see the history of where the watch has been, Press the Track icon to show the location history of the watch. Set a “Start date” and “End date”. With the Track watch “Path Line” button in the on position (blue is on), the route history will display with lines from point to point. With this button in the off position, the route history is shown using location pins.

With the “LBS & WiFi” button in the on position, the route history will include location data using GPS, LBS and WiFi, in the off position, the history is shown with GPS locations data only.

Yes, up to 16 people, such as Mum and Dad for example can receive the alert notifications on their smartphones at the same time, once they have downloaded the App and added the watch to their account.

No, you cannot send text messages from or to the Watch, only voice messages. You will receive alert message through the App for low battery, SafeZone alerts and when the SOS numbers have been called.
